With the new timetable now in full swing, American Airlines is delighted to have increased its summer flying from Milan to New York (JFK). The latest schedule will see American increase the number of flights from four per week to a daily non-stop schedule for the summer period. The return to a daily non-stop schedule will benefit passengers looking to travel to the US for the summer, giving them increased access to American’s many onward connection possibilities from its New York JFK hub. Popular destinations include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Orlando and the recently launched connection to Costa Rica’s San Jose adds even more options for passengers to choose from.

All passengers will continue to benefit from American’s superior service which starts even before passengers leave home. Having introduced a number of check-in options for its customers, American’s passengers can now choose to check-in online from 24 hours to 2 hours in advance of their flight before they even leave home. Alternatively, passengers can take advantage of American’s self-service machines and dedicated bag drop desks, following the airline becoming the first US carrier to introduce the facility in Milan.

During the flight, passengers will experience American’s popular Boeing 767-300 aircraft in a two-class layout, offering a total of 225 - including 30 Business Class - seats. Designed to give passengers more comfort, flexibility and privacy, American’s Business Class features innovative, fully adjustable motorised lie-flat seats, with favourite position memory capability, the ability to track forward 10 inches and interlocking tables. The seats are configured in a 2-2-2 layout and a personal in-flight entertainment device with audio and video on demand is also provided. On arrival at New York JFK, customers will experience American’s dedicated $1.3 billion terminal which opened two years ago in 2007. Featuring two Admirals Club lounges and a US Customs and Immigration facility which can handle 1,600 customers per hour, the terminal is the largest single-airline terminal at JFK and is designed to streamline passengers’ travel experiences through the airport.
